Conophytum obcordellum is a fascinating miniature succulent native to the Western Cape and Northern Cape of South Africa. Like Lithops, it belongs to the Aizoaceae family and has adapted to survive extreme drought.

In late spring the plant splits and sheds its old leaves, entering summer dormancy — watering should be kept to an absolute minimum. Growth resumes in autumn.

Seasonal Note

All photos show the actual plants you will receive. During hot summer conditions, many brightly coloured succulents may naturally become greener. This is a normal seasonal response to higher temperatures and stronger light, where plants adjust their pigmentation — often reducing red or purple tones and showing more green as chlorophyll becomes dominant.
